Sheridan Goss, 17, is a senior at Linden High School. Along with her siblings, she’s co-founder of Snuggle Sacks, a non-profit that makes survival kits for the homeless, and has been recognized by Youth Service America.
What accomplishment are you most proud?
Accomplishments I am most proud of would be my academics. I have worked really hard to get good grades every year and maintain my high GPA so I could join the National Honor Society.
What do you like to do for fun?
In my free time, I like to go do things with my friends or have a chill night at home with my family, playing games and watching movies.
What type of career possibility excites you?
My dream career would be an FBI profiler or a forensic psychologist.
Do you want to attend college and where?
I do plan to attend college and I plan to go to Saginaw Valley State University.
Do you know what a rotary phone is?
Yes, I do know what a rotary phone is. It is an old-fashioned phone where you had to wait for one number to go all the way around before you could put in the next number.
Would you rather live a week in the past or future, why?
A week in the future so that when I go back to the present, I would know what is going to happen to me. If I didn’t like what happened in the future, I would have a way to change it.
What is one thing you would like to do before you graduate?
One thing I would like to do before I graduate is have one big family vacation with both my mom and dad’s side of the family since they are divorced, and I’ve never had a vacation with both my parents.
If you could time travel, where would you go?
I would go to the 1990s because I like the fashion and music of that time period.
Do you think it’s harder to be a teen today than it used to be?
Yes, I do think it is harder to be a teen today because of all the negativity in the press about kids’ behavior and how adults sometimes say that “kids these days” as if teens now are entitled and rude just because of one story.
What superpower would you like to have?
If I were a superhero I would like to have the superpower of invisibility.
What are two things you couldn’t live without, and why?
Two things that I could not live without are my dog and my best friend.
Do you want to stay in Michigan? If not, where would you like to live?
Kind of. I would love to stay close to family but I also hate the cold so I really want to live somewhere warm and no winter.
If you were given $1,000 to donate what/who would you donate it too?
I would split it between multiple homeless shelters because I am passionate about helping the homeless since I run my own nonprofit, Snuggle Sacks — Resources for the Homeless.
