Parker Brady

Parker Brady is a 17-year-old senior at Fenton High School. He is described as a polite young man who plays football and basketball for FHS but more importantly, is a mentor to the freshman and other kids.  If he sees someone sitting alone in the cafeteria he sits down with them or if he sees someone having a problem he talks with him and offers to walk them to class. He is still deciding where he is going to go. He has a couple options thanks to his football talent. He wants to study law and go into special crimes like a detective or SWAT. He wants to try and bust as many drug dealers as possible.

Do you think the United States is a good or bad nation to live in?

I believe the United States is the greatest country in the world. Although I may not agree with the way the country has been run in recent years, the idea that the government is beholden to the people, that is has no other source of power beside the people, is still newest and most unique in the history of man.

Should all 18-to-22-year-olds have to serve two years in the military?

No. I believe that the government should not have the power to tell the people what they must do, so long as they are not infringing upon the rights of others.

If you were the President, what is the one thing you would change?

I would do everything I could to bring back manufacturing and boost middle class jobs. I believe having a strong middle class is critical.

Tell us three things you remember from kindergarten.

 1. Every day we would go to science class and the teacher had a spider and I was afraid of it.

 2. My friend Jacob taught me how to use a duck call using just my mouth.

 3. At the end of the year we had an ice cream party and I made the best ice cream Sunday I’d ever had.

If you could time travel where would you go?

I would go back to the 50’s to see how different everything was before technology, and to see what the American dream I’ve been hearing about my whole life was like.

If you could just eat three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Roast, potatoes and carrots; venison steaks and Reeses.

What super power would you like to have?

I’d like to be able to fly to save money on plane tickets and to see what it’s like.

What are two things you wouldn't be able to live without?

Technology, because it keeps me up to date on current world issues, and shoes, because they make it easier to walk, and the right shoes make it feel like you’re walking on clouds.
