St. Louis Style Maple Glazed BBQ Ribs

Sometimes we all just need a little SLOW roasted BBQ to tame the soul. I got the idea for these ribs from, and their take on Maple Cayenne Ribs. — Trish

• 1 BIG slab of St. Louis style ribs

For the RUB:

• 1/4 c. brown sugar

• 1/2 tbsp salt

• 1 tsp cinnamon

• 1 tsp ground cumin

• 1 2 tsp ground black pepper

For the GLAZE:

• 1/2 c. maple syrup

• 1/4 c. Frank’s Red Hot Sauce

• 1/4 c. butter

• 1/4 c. ketchup

• 1 tbsp lemon zest

• 2 tbsp lemon juice

To Prepare: Preheat your charcoal grill for indirect grilling.

Mix all of the rub ingredients together and rub both sides of the ribs with your hands. Place ribs on the grill over the indirect heat.

Close the lid and cook for 4 hours at 250 degrees F.

Mix all glaze ingredients together, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Glaze the ribs 10 -15 minutes before taking the off the grill.

The Ribs are done when the meat has shrunk off about 1 inch from the bones. Cover the ribs, let them sit for 15 minutes before serving!
