Nicholas D. Jones, an Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadet at Michigan Technological University has graduated from the Cadet Leader Course (CLC) at Fort Knox, Kentucky. CLC is a 30-day summer training event focused on training cadets to solve complex leadership issues and problems at the company level.  The leadership experience supports continued cadet development during the senior year of the program. Cadets usually attend CLC between their junior and senior years of college, and they must complete the course to qualify for commissioning. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program, and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserve. Jones is the son of Rochelle L. and Thomas E. Jones of Ann Arbor. He is a 2012 graduate of Fenton High School.
