I am the typical American conservative.

I like cops, soldiers, working men and country boys, the kind of guys who know how to shoot, how to take care of themselves and who would have your back in a fight.

I don’t much like the government in Washington, D.C. Even the politicians in small cities like Fenton and Linden tend to turn neighbors and friends into puffed up bureaucrats. If someone has to be in charge, I’d prefer the sort of guy who will give you an answer when you want to know why the potholes on your street haven’t been fixed. I’m a straight, white, Christian conservative and the people that run the country today would only care what I think if I had hundreds of thousands of dollars to give them.

I don’t care for the arrogant asses in D.C. who think they have a better idea of what to do with my life and my money than I do. I don’t need any “help” from the government. Nor am I okay with the government using my money to help people who should be helping themselves. We may all have to pool our money to pay for streets, the police and the military, but I don’t see any reason why my money should go to the families of anchor babies or scammers working out at the gym with a disability check in their wallet.

I believe there are only two genders and they shouldn’t be sharing a bathroom. I’m not okay with powerful men who demand that women sleep with them to keep a job, or Hollywood creeps who take advantage of young women. But that doesn’t automatically mean every woman is telling the truth either. Listen to Hillary Clinton for a few minutes and then tell me that we can trust all women.

I like church-going people. I like the NRA. I like the sort of mom who won’t tolerate her kid acting like a brat in public. I like dads who fly the flag on their front porch. I don’t much care for people who make a career out of being dependent on the government. I don’t like it that we live in a country where the government taxes the working man to death in order to purchase the votes of those who won’t work.

I want our borders secured and our budget balanced. I want reasonably priced healthcare. I want Social Security and Medicare protected for future generations. I want the government to take care of our soldiers at the VA while staying out of my business.

We live in a country where our leaders steal from us, lie to us, and exempt themselves from the laws they write, while telling us how we should live our lives. We live in a country run by lying, thieving politicians and bureaucrats who can’t do anything right and yet think the solution to every problem is to give them more power over our lives.

If you feel the same way I do then you’re one of the Americans the privileged elite in D.C. want to go away.
