The heating and cooling experts at Dave Lamb Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. have served the Fenton community for 50 years and the public is invited to a celebration marking their success on Friday, Sept. 27.
Founded by Dave Lamb, Sr. in 1969, the same year that Neil Armstrong first walked on the moon, Dave Lamb Heating & Air Conditioning remains a family run business. It is currently owned by Dave Lamb, Jr. and his wife, Cindy. Dave’s brothers Dan and Dennis are also heating and cooling experts, owning their own businesses in other areas of the state.
Dave Jr. and Cindy’s daughter Jamie Lamb marks the third generation of the Lamb family to be part of the Fenton business.
A heating and cooling professional, Dave, Sr. started the business out of his home, using the newspaper and word of mouth to attract customers. He has been able to keep many of those same customers 50 years later thanks to the company’s honesty, integrity and expertise.
“I’m very proud,” Dave, Sr. said of marking 50 years in business. With his wife Barbara by his side, the two shared stories of the early days. They remembered how they moved to a space on LeRoy Street in 1977 only to outgrow it two years later and land in their current location at 409 E. Caroline St. in downtown Fenton.
Community members, customers, vendors, builders and more are all invited to that address at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 for a 50-year celebration. Featuring music, a food truck, bounce house and a big tent, the event is a way for the Lamb family to say thank you.
“The community has been good to us,” Cindy said. Barbara agreed adding, “We all feel very blessed by this community … Customers have been very, very loyal to us over the years.”
Also loyal are many Dave Lamb team members, some of whom have been with the company for 30 years.
The family says they plan to continue their tradition of great customer service and heating and cooling expertise for at least another 50 years.
