Vic Canever Chevrolet of Fenton is showing customers its environmental credentials, and was named a 2020 certified Green Dealer for the fifth consecutive year. Vic Canever has a proven record in areas such as energy reduction, renewable energy use, water conservation efforts, recycling, onsite nature habitats and community outreach.

The dealership is one of only 275 GM dealerships that are eligible to be re-certified for this Green Dealer program. The dealership has a number of green practices in place on site, including:

• Energy efficiency

• Water conservation

• Waste management

• Recycling systems

• Management practices

The dealership had gone through an assessment and validation that they have a high percentage of 60 eco-friendly business practices across 10 categories. This recognition today is an indication that they have continued to improve on that base of required initiatives.

“Green Dealer Support has long been committed to be a leader in environmental stewardship, and we’re proud that our dealers share this commitment to serve and improve the communities where we work and live,” said Chuck Golden, CEO of Green Dealer Support. The Green Dealer Program aligns with their manufacturers’ companywide efforts to reduce its environmental footprint. The program was designed to encourage dealers to implement green initiatives as part of their operations, create a network for sharing best practices and help other dealers begin or advance their sustainability journey.
