Hurley Children’s Hospital partnered with several local credit unions to launch the #SantaCares campaign during the holidays in 2019. In a surprise announcement, CO-OP Financial Services has announced a $10,000 donation toward this effort. CO-OP Financial Services is a payment and financial technology company whose mission is ensuring the success of the credit union movement. Prior to the CO-OP donation, the #SantaCares campaign had raised $40,418. This included money raised by Dort Financial Credit Union, ELGA Credit Union, Financial Plus Credit Union and Sovita Credit Union. Community members also donated to the #SantaCares site on the Hurley Medical Center Facebook page. In addition, $10,000 was donated by The Sheppy Dog Fund, Dr. Alan Klein – Advisor. Dr. Klein is a Grand Blanc Pediatric Dentist who is on staff at Hurley Children’s Hospital. A total of $50,418 was raised for this area’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
