Dorothy Warfield currently of Linden celebrated her 100th birthday on June 3, 2016. She was born in Langston, Michigan, the middle daughter of Don and Carrie Hinkley. She was a 1933 graduate of Hanover High School where she was the Valedictorian. Dorothy resided in west Michigan most of her life. She was married to Leslie Johnson for 33 years and he preceded her in death. Together they had two daughters, Barbara Hanson of Holly, and Shirley Disney of Rocky Top, Tennessee; four stepchildren, Norma Reed and Wayne Jr. whom are deceased, and Donna and Al of Kalamazoo.  Dorothy was married to Wayne Warfield for 33 years and he also preceded her in death.  Dorothy currently resides at Caretel Inns in Linden, where more than 70 friends and family members celebrated with a Hawaiian themed party on Saturday, June 11, 2016. People came to celebrate from Tennessee, Hawaii, Virginia and Michigan. Her nephew Gary and his wife Kay brought fresh flowers and leis from Hawaii.
