I DOUBT THE Linden bus picking up the homeless child is costing anything, as the bus is already en route to pick up other students. As a Linden taxpayer, this does not bother me. In fact, I applaud Linden schools for caring and doing something to help. The alternative may be that the child doesn’t go to school at all. Now that’s a price society can’t afford. WITH THE HUGE snowstorm last night, I witnessed something today that totally shocked me. A resident of the Elmwood subdivision went around the block on his riding lawnmower with snow blower attachment, and cleared the sidewalks. I didn’t realize there were any good people left in this town. Our walk was already cleared, but I can only imagine the elderly he helped. Saturday, February 13, 2010 6:17 AM ESTHot Lines - 2/10/10
EZ READ IS great. I live out of state, and I can now see the entire Tri-County Times and keep up with all of the news at home. Keep up the good work, Times. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 10:23 AM ESTHot Lines - 2/7/10 WHY DOES EVERYONE blame the woes of Michigan on Granholm? NAFTA, KAFTA, Bush, Wall Street, Japanese cars and corporate greed have just a little bit to do with it. Saturday, February 6, 2010 7:43 PM ESTHot Lines - 2/3/10
TO EVERYBODY WHO complains about traffic, if somebody is going too slow for you, don’t get an attitude. Most of the time, it’s like you’re racing to see who can stop at the red light, first. It’s snowy, icy, and dangerous. Be careful, be considerate, and be patient. If you want to pass somebody, go ahead, but you might want to just stay where you’re at. It could save your life. Wednesday, February 3, 2010 11:38 AM ESTHot Lines - 1/20/10 ALL RIGHT, FENTON city residents, they want to raise our water bill. What would happen if we were to invest in something like this? www.rainwatercollection.com I bet their tune would change when taking this into consideration. I find this intriguing and economically viable. I am definitely going to invest into this myself, come on everyone, climb aboard. Wednesday, January 20, 2010 10:48 AM ESTLetters To The Editor ( top )
