VanAvery has been trained in diamond appraising, ear piercing, and her specialty is remounting loose stones onto jewelry. As someone who enjoys her job, VanAvery hopes to stay on at Sawyer Jewelers for many more years to come.

Graduating from Mott Community College in 1985 with a degree in dental hygiene, Scaffede now has more than 30 years of experience in her field.
